we have some news to share! we're moving to pittsburgh in june! cindy will be starting the MBA program at carnegie mellon in the fall and chris will be pursuing his dreams of becoming a male model.
cindy:
Cindy was born in San Jose, California and has always been a fan of California weather, people and laid-back-ness. She grew up doing a lot of typical Asian-American kid things like playing piano, playing violin in an orchestra, spending countless hours on AIM, getting good grades on math tests, etc. She also did some not-so-typically-Asian-American things like run varsity cross-country and track and throw weekly parties at her house on Wednesday nights (okay, okay, they were math parties). Then Cindy, for some odd reason, decided to go to Yale, where she spent lots of time playing guitar, singing, reading the Bible, hangin' out in the cemetery (it's one of the only peaceful places on campus), and wishing she knew how to study. Cindy later decided that people on the East Coast really need to chill out, and after becoming one of those people, she moved back home to San Jose, California, where she took a job in promoting school reform in a low-performing, high-minority school, as well as a job in yelling at crazy kids on the weekends. Cindy now continues to work in the field of education and continues to spend many hours laughing with, praying for, and, of course, yelling at the loud and perpetually distracted kids of SJCCC.

chris:
Chris was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in the suburb of Wexford, which is most well-known for being the childhood home of international pop star Christina Aguilera. Growing up, Chris had a love for words, and always favoured the British spelling of them. His favourite colour has always been blue, which led him to apply to Yale (by the grace of God, he got in). There, he discovered he could watch and write about movies for credit, so he did. At various times in his adult life, Chris has worked (gotten paid) as a bank loan processor, a magazine writer (the magazine was, in fact, called a.Magazine), an undercover mall security guard, a college tour guide, an internet start-up drone, a campus minister, a wedding videographer, an Adam Sandler bodyguard, a corporate video editor, a coffee-maker/messenger/errand boy (read: intern), and a TBS Report-writer (just like Office Space). He is compiling his life experiences into a feature film script that will likely be perpetually "in development." In 2005, Chris moved to the Bay Area to be near Cindy and found a job posting on Craigslist that described how he could watch and write about movies for pay, so he applied and got it. Who knew there were jobs like that? He is now the Program Manager at the San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival.
